The state of modern religion today, is filled with staunch absolutist dogma, consequently, causing a stagnant stench ridden intellectual thinking among it’s followers. In consequence, these attributes have created a misinformed and delusional citizenry that is sheep like and is persuaded by sweet talking public officials, that use religion as a tool to gain their vote and support. We are in a time period that condemns and ridicules Islamo- Facism, however, Christano-Facism is the most destructive terrorism this side of the western hemisphere.You may be asking, what is Christano-Facism ? It is the complicit participation of conservative evangelicals, the so called “true christians, in militarism and political domination at the expense of preserving a “moral agenda”.We all know the moral agenda, preservation of the ”traditional family” and abortion. I find it ironic that pro-life conservative evangelicals are no longer pro-life when war or capital punishment is brought into the conversation. In fact, President Bush is on record for saying that ”God” told him to invade Iraq! This is dangerous, and it shows us that we have a segment of the population that is bent on turning our country into a fundamentalist Christian theocracy. Further, since these evangelicals are complicit in this political domination and militarism that expands the empire, they are willing participants and actors in promoting the fascism of America.Nevertheless, the crux of this issue rises when our political leaders abuse the biblical whoredom of the citizenry and takes advantage of their trust. Many evangelicals rant and rave against abortion and gay marriage, however, they remain complicit with the exact political domination and militarism that Jesus was vehemently against. The political right rhetorically prostitutes political conservatism as being one in the same with moral conservatism. Such a notion is venomous when history shows that political conservatives are maintainers of the status quo. Moral conservatives have been duped by the ideologues of political conservatism and are being abused and neglected by them at the same time.Thus, the fight for ”family values” by these blind religious fascist will continue to be waged against homosexuals and against a woman’s choice to have a abortion, while extreme and desolate poverty, racism, sexism, and heterosexism continue to spread and continue to be ignored by the religous fascist and their political right. Further, the question should be raised and must be answered by the religious right, what would Jesus REALLY do ?
